Professional Ethics: Theory and Application (on-line)

When:

Once the CAPL office has deposited your payment you will receive a confirmation email with the link and access codes.  Seminar completion is required within 30 days.

Who:

This seminar is suitable for all interested land personnel and is required for prospective CAPL members as well as CAPL's professional certification program.

What:

This course is designed to help the participant deepen their understanding of the role of ethics in the life of a professional and as a member of the CAPL.  Specific attention will be given to various methods used in ethical decision-making along with the various nuances of ethics.  This course will also provide an introductory opportunity, primarily through the use of case studies, for thinking through land related ethical issues.

Instructor(s):

Dr. Gary Lepine (DTh)

Dr. Gary Lepine was a college professor for 14 years before beginning Concord Professional Development.  His work concentrates primarily on applied professional ethics, diversity awareness, and organizational culture.  Gary is also co-founder of Finishing Well, an organization that offers public education on advance care planning issues and living with a terminal or critical illness.  He is currently a member of the Rockyview General Hospital's ethics committee and a board member of New Heights Learning Services, a school for alternative learning styles in Calgary.
