Good morning,
This is to advise you that the Government of Saskatchewan will announce at 9 a.m. today that the draft Oil and Gas Tenure Registry Regulations are expected to be approved in the summer of 2016. These regulations will enable electronic oil and gas tenure to take full advantage of the new Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS), including the replacement of over 20 existing paper-based service fees with a single, one-time application fee of $600 for each new oil and gas disposition issued.
Also of note, effective June 1, 2016, subscription fees associated with data composed and acquired on the new IRIS will be streamlined into annual and monthly subscription and customer request rates. This change will affect companies that compile and analyze data from the system for sale to oil and gas companies.
Please note that a news release regarding these changes, and changes to other fees and charges, will be posted to the IRIS page of the www.saskatchewan.ca website at 9:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2016. Feel free to forward this email to any of your association’s members.
Thank you,
Laurie Pushor
Deputy Minister, Economy
