Saskatchewan Draft Oil and Gas Tenure Regulations update – October 20, 2015 (Click to view)
Please be advised that given the impact of the June 2015 reorganization in the Ministry of the Economy that resulted in the Petroleum Tenure Branch moving from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Division to the Lands and Mineral Tenure Branch in the Minerals, Lands and Resource Policy Division, and the movement of several staff from the former Petroleum Tenure Branch to the Saskatchewan Geological Survey, please direct inquiries related to Crown land sales, disposition administration, offsets, lease continuance, non-producing well reviews, etc. to the recently created Petroleum Tenure Service Desk at the following toll free number or email address:

Thank you for your patience as we transition to the ‘new-look’ Lands and Mineral Tenure Branch. The management of tenure for all commodities in the province, including oil and gas, potash, coal, uranium, metallic minerals, diamonds, and quarry minerals in addition to mineral rights (including Crown Acquired mineral rights, Mineral Rights Tax, and Trust Certificates), Aboriginal land claims, and Crown land sales all under one Branch will ensure responsible stewardship of the province’s mineral resources and promote continued exploration and development of all commodities.
ALSO NOTE:
The Saskatchewan December 1st land sale bids will have the option to be submitted either manually or electronically.
The February 2, 2016 Saskatchewan land sale will be electronic only.
