From Clearwater County

A Land Assessment notice was circulated in mid-December to a number of operators that have activity in Clearwater County.  The notice requests particular information regarding surface leases.  The letter explains the requirements under Section 295(1) and (4) of the Municipal Government Act.  This may not be entirely correct.  The information requested is available through other public sites, such as Abadata.  CAPL would suggest that operators who receive this request discuss it internally with their land, accounting, and tax groups.
